What’s the difference between planning and directing?

A wedding director helps carry out the plans that have already been made by the bride and/or their wedding planner.

Co-Owner & Co-FoundeR

My husband, Jeff, and I began our life together on June 10, 2017 - to say the day was a dream is an understatement! One thing that made the day so perfect was the help of Renee McCannon, our day-of Wedding Director!

I spent months planning pretty much every aspect of my wedding, but when the day came I obviously was pre-occupied with hair, make-up, pictures, keeping emotions under control, and all the other things that go through a bride’s head on her wedding day. I knew that Renee would ensure that all of my plans and wishes come true! Because I had confidence in her, I was able to enjoy my wedding day and not be consumed by stress all day!

I WANT TO DO THE SAME THING FOR YOU! It would be my pleasure and honor to help ensure that your wedding day is a stress-free celebration that you will look back on with happy memories for years to come!

The Policies

As your wedding director it is my responsibility to carry out the plans of you and/or your event planner. I will do everything in my power to make sure that your wishes for the wedding ceremony & reception are fulfilled. It is your responsibility to convey to me the exact plans that you have set for the event so that I may fully carry out my responsibilities as a wedding director. If at any time during the planning process you need my guidance, I will be happy to share my experiences or opinions with you.

Below I will list out a general contract overview for your special event. If you choose to contract with me for your wedding, you will be charged $600 (w/ 25% non-refundable deposit) for a maximum of 20 hours for the following:

  • Phone & email contacts with you for information regarding your wedding, this includes any time spent gathering information & specifics for the wedding day or rehearsal events.

  • Personal preview of the event site(s), this includes any time I spend previewing and becoming familiar with any new venue and its own characteristic differences. (May not be necessary if I am familiar with the site)

  • Rehearsal for the wedding ceremony, this includes time I spend preparing schedules, managing the wedding party, and executing the desired etiquette per your requests.

  • Wedding day & ceremony responsibilities, this includes time spent making sure that the ceremony site has been properly prepared, checking that the wedding party/photographer/musicians are on schedule as discussed prior to the wedding day. Also seeing that the following tasks are performed: flowers are distributed to wedding party & specified family members, guest registry is in place, lights set, the processional and recessional of the bridal party in and out of the ceremony, and the retrieving mothers & grandmothers at the end of the ceremony.

  • If I am also in charge of the reception, I will be in charge of making sure the site has been properly prepared for the reception. I will direct the wedding party including the bride & groom into the reception as they are announced to the guest by another prearranged announcer. I will make sure the cake is cut in coordination with the photographer, schedule first dance, schedule garter/bouquet toss, and direct the send off. When the bride & groom have done their send-off, my job is complete.

  • Travel time includes time from when I leave my home to make the trip to your event site. You will not be charged for my trip home if the site is within 30 mins of my home.

I believe that marriage is the second most important decision and relationship you can have.
I also believe, you get out of your marriage what you put into it.
Therefore, I highly encourage the Bride & Groom to get some kind of pre-marital counseling prior to their wedding day.
